About the Event
WB 1013 Election Integrity Clinic
Elections processes vary widely across neighborhood planning units and other neighborhood organizations. An effective election process attracts strong leaders, ensures integrity, and maintains the trust of the community. This course is designed to prepare participants for NPU elections by exploring best practices for conducting a fair, clean, and transparent election process. NPU leaders, election committee members, and lay members will learn how to conduct elections openly and objectively and will learn the necessary steps to avoid common mistakes and protect their NPUs against elections challenges and voter disenfranchisement.
Before the class, we recommend you download the Zoom app on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer. We encourage you to join the class 10 minutes before the start time to give yourself (and technology) a little wiggle room. Participants must have a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer in order to view the presentation and presenters.
If you will not be able to attend the class, please let us know immediately so we can admit someone from the waiting list. Per the NPU University policy, students who register for a class and do not attend or withdraw will be unable to register for classes for 60 days. After the second occurrence, you will be unable to register for classes for the remainder of 2020.
