Neighborhood Block Party Program
Strengthening Communities One Block at a Time
The Neighborhood Block Party Program, a ParticipateATL! Initiative, is designed to empower neighborhoods through community-driven block parties. Led by the Department of City Planning, this initiative empowers residents and neighborhood organizations to activate their blocks, strengthen connections, and celebrate the unique character of their communities.
The pilot program provides selected neighborhoods with tools to successfully host a block party—from event planning support to access to the City of Atlanta Block Party Trailer, filled with games, supplies, and equipment.
🥳 Why Should You Be Excited?
Imagine a day filled with laughter, music, and games—right on your street.
The Neighborhood Block Party Program is all about YOU—your block, your voice, your vibe. Whether it’s a summer cookout, a holiday hangout, or just a Saturday of neighborly fun, our fully stocked trailer brings the celebration to you—making it easy to turn your block into a gathering space for everyone.
Here’s why neighbors love being part of the Block Party experience:
🎶 It’s a whole vibe. Music, food, games, and community—right outside your door.
🌟 You’re in charge. You decide the activities, style, and feel of your block party.
🛠️ We’ve got your back. Planning help, equipment, and city support are built in.
💬 It starts real conversations. Meet your neighbors, build trust, and start something bigger.
🎁 Fun resources. Games, swag, signs, and more—delivered to your block.
This is your chance to create joy, build trust, and spark lasting connections—right where you live.

📍 2025 Pilot Program
Our pilot program kicks off this summer with activations on Saturdays between July and October 2025. These pilot events help us refine operations, collect feedback, and build a citywide framework for neighborhood celebrations in future years.
📆 What’s Next?
The pilot program will conclude in Fall 2025 with an evaluation and a roadmap for citywide expansion. Participating neighborhoods will help shape the future of block party support across Atlanta.
