CD1002 Code Enforcement Academy​​

This five-session academy equips participants with the knowledge and tools to identify, report, and track common code violations that affect neighborhood quality of life. Topics include abandoned and blighted properties, illegal dumping, overgrown lots, and debris in the public right-of-way.

​

Participants will learn how Atlanta’s code enforcement process works, which City departments are responsible for addressing specific concerns, and how cases move from initial reporting through resolution. Sessions feature instruction from the Atlanta Police Department’s Code Enforcement Division, Atlanta Municipal Court, and other City agencies involved in maintaining safe, clean, and well-kept communities.

We’re looking for participants who are eager to learn how code enforcement works and how they can help support safer, cleaner, and stronger Atlanta communities.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and be a City of Atlanta resident, business owner, or employee.
