About the Event
The NPU Officer Orientation brings together leaders from all 25 Neighborhood Planning Units for a day of learning, connection, and shared purpose.
Designed to equip both new and returning officers with the tools to lead effectively, the orientation explores the structure of the NPU system, clarifies roles and responsibilities, and provides practical guidance on zoning, planning, and civic processes. Participants will engage with City of Atlanta leadership, learn about essential tools and technology, and gain insight into initiatives shaping Atlanta’s neighborhoods.
Rooted in collaboration and peer learning, the program also features a “Chat & Chew” panel where experienced NPU Chairs answer questions submitted by their peers to foster conversation around best practices for NPUs.
