About the Event

Looking for ways to lead your NPU meetings so that they are more efficient and productive? This virtual class is free to the public and designed for NPU chairs or presiding officers who want a better understanding of these best practices for running effective meetings to improve meeting productivity and effectiveness. Having a grasp of parliamentary procedure, following board rules and agendas, and respecting member roles can make everyone better leaders. When leaders exhibit such skills and follow the rules the public will too.

This online class is taught by a registered parliamentarian. The course will benefit:

  • NPU or NPU committee chairpersons
  • Presidents of neighborhood associations, committees, or other community organizations
  • Those who want to learn how the essentials  of parliamentary principles and procedure; decorum in debate; making motions and roles of members
  • Those who want to learn how what it takes to conduct fair and effective discussions as chairs or presiding officers
