About the Event
The Neighborhood Empowerment One-Day Workshop, offered by the City of Atlanta's Department of City Planning in collaboration with the Partnership for Southern Equity, aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills for community leadership. Through a six-hour intensive training session, participants will learn about the basics of city planning, zoning, and the impacts on communities undergoing revitalization. They will also learn to strategically engage with elected officials and policymakers and create action plans for resident-led neighborhood change. This workshop offers a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their capacity to advocate for their neighborhoods and effect positive change within their communities. Please note that there are only 25 slots available, so selected participants will receive a confirmation email containing details about the course.
