WB1019: NPU 101- How Does the NPU System Work
So you live in the City of Atlanta and someone has mentioned your Neighborhood Planning Unit. But what does that really mean? What are your rights and benefits under this organized group of neighbors? How does an NPU really run? Where can you turn if you have questions? And how does the Comprehensive Development Plan fit into all of this? Many City of Atlanta residents miss out on the true value of their NPU because they’re not sure exactly what an NPU is and they’re not sure who to ask. Relax, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick basic introduction to the official avenue for residents to receive updates concerning all functions of City government.
Before the class, we recommend you download the Zoom app on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. We encourage you to join the class 10 minutes before the start time to give yourself (and technology) a little wiggle room. Participants must have a smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer in order to view the presentation and presenters.
If you will not be able to attend the class, please let us know immediately so we can admit someone from the waiting list. Per NPU University policy, students who register for a class and do not attend or withdraw will be unable to register for classes for 60 days. After the second occurrence, you will be unable to register for classes for the remainder of 2020.
